We tell you what’s wrong and what it costs before we start. We charge a small diagnostic fee to properly assess the fault. If you go ahead with the repair, that fee comes off the final price. If you decide not to, you’ve only paid for the diagnosis. No pressure either way. Some places offer “free diagnostics” but all they do is a basic check. They don’t want to invest real time if they’re not getting paid for it. So you end up with a vague answer and a big quote. We stock parts for the most common repairs so most jobs are done same day, and we always explain what’s wrong before we start any work.
