About the PlayStation 5 Pro
The PlayStation 5 Pro (CFI-7000 series) launched in November 2024 as the most powerful PlayStation console ever made. The 16.7 TFLOP GPU delivers 67% more compute units than the standard PS5, enabling enhanced ray tracing and Sony's AI-driven PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaling technology. It ships with 2TB of NVMe SSD storage and supports the same detachable disc drive as the PS5 Slim. We repair every component at our Perth Road workshop in Dundee.
As a current-generation premium console, PS5 Pro repairs are primarily HDMI 2.1 port issues (same fragile port design), overheating under sustained heavy gaming loads, and early adopter hardware faults. Can you fix the HDMI port on my PS5 Pro?

The Pro pushes more power than the standard PS5, so it generates more heat. If it is shutting down or the fan is abnormally loud, there may be a thermal issue. Bring it in.
Is the PS5 Pro worth repairing or should I use the warranty?

What is PSSR and does it affect repairs?
PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution is an AI upscaling feature. It is software-based and does not affect hardware repairs. If your Pro has a fault, it is a hardware issue we can diagnose.
How do I know which PS5 Pro model I have?
Check Settings, System, Console Information. The PS5 Pro uses model numbers CFI-7000A or CFI-7000B. The label on the back also shows it.
