Computer Speaker Sales Dundee
Need computer speakers? Desktop speakers and soundbars in stock at our Perth Road shop. Walk in and listen before you buy.
What We Stock
Laptop speakers too quiet for video calls? Can’t hear anything over the fan noise? Need proper sound for music or watching content? We stock desktop speakers and soundbars at our Perth Road shop. Walk in, have a listen, and pick a set that suits your setup.
We carry desktop speaker sets and compact soundbars for computers. USB-powered speakers that don’t need a separate plug socket, and powered speakers with better sound for folk who want more volume and bass.
Our speakers are selected for everyday use. Video calls, music at your desk, watching YouTube, listening to podcasts. If you need studio monitors or audiophile equipment, that’s a specialist shop. If you need decent sound at your desk without spending a fortune, we’ve got you covered.
Desktop Speakers vs Soundbars
Desktop speaker pairs sit either side of your monitor. Stereo separation gives you a wider soundstage. Good for music and media. They take up more desk space but usually sound better than a single soundbar at the same price.
Compact soundbars sit under or in front of your monitor. One unit, no wires between speakers, minimal desk space. Convenient and tidy. Sound quality is decent for the size, especially for voice and video calls.
USB-powered speakers draw power from your computer’s USB port. No separate plug needed. Simpler setup, less clutter. The trade-off is they’re usually quieter than mains-powered speakers.
For most folk working from home, USB-powered desktop speakers or a compact soundbar is all you need. Save the big speakers for the living room.
Connecting Speakers to Your Computer
Most desktop speakers connect via a 3.5mm audio jack (the headphone port) or USB. Plug them in and they work. No drivers, no setup.
Some newer speakers connect via Bluetooth. Wireless and tidy, but can have a slight audio delay for video calls.
USB speakers are the simplest. One cable for power and audio. Plug into a USB port and you’re done.
If your laptop doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio port (some newer models don’t), a USB audio adapter or USB speakers solve the problem.
We can help you check your laptop’s ports in the shop if you’re not sure what you need.
Why Buy In-Store
Sound is subjective. What sounds good to one person sounds tinny to another. Walk in, have a listen, and decide for yourself. You can’t do that from a product listing online.
And if you need a cable or adapter to connect them, we stock those too.
