The iPad Mini 4 (A1538, A1550) was released in 2015 as the first fully laminated Mini with A8 chip. It features an 7.9-inch 2048x1536 fully laminated Retina display powered by the Apple A8 chip. A major upgrade with a fully laminated display, thinner design at 6.1mm, and the A8 chip. The laminated screen eliminated the air gap for better viewing.
