The iPhone 5C (models A1456, A1507, A1516, A1529, A1532) was Apple's most colourful iPhone ever, wrapping the tried-and-tested iPhone 5 internals in a glossy polycarbonate shell available in green, blue, yellow, pink, and white. Released in September 2013, the 5C packed the same A6 chip, 4-inch Retina display, and 8MP camera as the iPhone 5, but the steel-reinforced plastic body was actually tougher than the aluminium original in many ways. It was proof that an iPhone could be fun and affordable without cutting corners on build quality.
