About the iPod Touch 4th Gen
The iPod Touch 4th Generation (A1367) was released in 2010 and brought FaceTime video calling and a Retina display to the iPod lineup for the first time. The 3.5-inch 960x640 Retina display delivered four times the pixel count of its predecessor, powered by the same Apple A4 chip found in the original iPad. It featured front and rear cameras (though the rear was only 0.7MP), a built-in speaker and microphone, and ran iOS up to version 6.1.6. Available in black with 8GB, 32GB, or 64GB storage. We repair every component at our Perth Road workshop in Dundee.
The iPod Touch 4th Gen is now over a decade old, but we still see them come through our workshop. The most common issues are cracked screens, dead batteries that no longer hold a charge, and 30-pin dock connectors that have worn out from years of use. The battery in particular degrades significantly over time. The screen is a laminated Retina panel and the digitizer is fused to the LCD, so a cracked screen means replacing the full display assembly. Our technicians have over 20 years' combined experience and can handle these older devices with care.
The iPod Touch 4th Gen might be getting on a bit, but if yours is still going and needs a fix, drap it in to our Perth Road workshop. We ken these older iPods inside out and we will always tell you straight whether it is worth repairing.
The iPod Touch 4th Generation shipped as a single model (A1367) worldwide in WiFi-only configuration. All units share identical internal hardware and accept the same replacement parts.
