About the iPod Touch 5th Gen
The iPod Touch 5th Generation (A1509/A1421) was released in 2012 and marked a major redesign with a larger 4-inch Retina display, the first iPod Touch with a Lightning connector, and a much-improved 5MP iSight camera. Powered by the Apple A5 chip, it came in six colours (including the distinctive loop attachment on the back) and was significantly thinner than its predecessor. It ran iOS up to version 9.3.5. The iPod Touch 5th Gen remains popular as a music player and kids' device.
