About the MacBook Air A1304 (Mid 2009)
The MacBook Air A1304 (Mid 2009) was an early revision of the original MacBook Air, running a Core 2 Duo at 1.86GHz with model number A1304. The 13.3-inch display at 1280x800 sat in that iconic aluminium wedge body. With just a single USB port and no optical drive, this was Apple's first serious push toward thin and light. We repair every component at our Perth Road workshop in Dundee.
These early MacBook Airs commonly suffer from overheating, hard drive or SSD failure, swelling batteries, and hinge wear. The soldered 2GB RAM means memory cannot be upgraded, so keeping the rest of the machine healthy is important. Our technicians have over 20 years' combined experience with Mac hardware.
The original MacBook Air was ahead of its time. If yours is overheating or the battery is swollen, drap it in to Perth Road. We'll get it running properly again.
The A1304 replaced the original A1237 with a faster processor and improved graphics. Both share a similar chassis design. All accept the same replacement parts.
