About the Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch (HAC-001) launched in March 2017 as Nintendos hybrid home and portable console. The original V1 model (HAC-001) was updated in August 2019 with the V2 revision (HAC-001(-01)) featuring a more efficient Tegra X1 chip and significantly improved battery life. Both versions feature detachable Joy-Con controllers, a 6.2-inch 720p touchscreen, and the ability to dock for TV play at up to 1080p. We repair every component at our Perth Road workshop in Dundee.
The most common Switch repair by far is Joy-Con stick drift, where the analog stick registers movement without being touched. We also handle cracked screens, charging port damage from repeated docking, fan replacements for overheating units, and game card slot issues. The V1 and V2 share the same external design but differ internally. Our technicians have over 20 years combined experience and work on gaming consoles regularly.
Joy-Con drift is a nightmare and Nintendo ken it. If your Switch is drifting, drap it in to our Perth Road workshop. We replace the stick module and it will be back to normal. Nae messing about.
Two hardware revisions exist: the original HAC-001 (2017) with shorter battery life and the revised HAC-001(-01) (2019) with improved efficiency. Both accept identical replacement parts for screens, Joy-Cons, charging ports, and fans.
